Welp, the neck pain that had been plaguing me for the last two weeks turned out to be more than a muscle spasm. I won't go into the gory details, suffice to say I have two herniated discs in my neck and am looking at needing possible surgery to correct one of them. Poor max has been in a tizzy with me being bedridden all week, so with the help of my wonderful family (and more medication than I care to think about) we managed to get a brief afternoon lesson in today. Our theme this week is backyard birds.
He had OT this morning, so after lunch we sang a few songs and did our calendar, then we painted toilet paper roll binoculars to look at the birds with:
Then we put together and hung a suet feeder out. In the front tree:
